Sound, Lighting & Event Coordinator
The Conference and Events Services Department at Messiah College has a full time opening for the position of Sound, Lighting, and Event Coordinator.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supporting all non-academic college functions such as conferences, events, meetings and activities with sound, lighting, and A/V technical support. Additionally, the position is responsible for event coordination including planning, logistics and billing with a focus on chapel services, performing arts, student activities, and facility rentals to external clients.
Qualifications: High School Diploma and 4 years of sound and lighting experience required. Technical school training in audio, Associate's degree in Audio Engineering or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Skills and Characteristics: Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multi-task; leadership and supervisory skills; ability to work well under pressure; knowledge of sound and lighting equipment and technology; and great customer service ability.
