The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering's Office of Career Development and Corporate Relations is seeking candidates for a School/College Event Coordinator.
This position will provide the on-campus corporate relations coordination for the Office of Career Development and Corporate Relations (CDCR) and assists with developing and implementing the corporate relations strategy for the CDCR Office.
Essential Functions to include, but not limited to:
Coordinates on-campus recruiting programs for CDCR, ensuring information pertaining to events, job postings, interview schedules, and career fairs is communicated to students, employers, faculty, and staff.
Assists in setting the annual recruiting calendar, including all deadlines and processes.
Schedules dates for employer information sessions, interviews and fairs.
Assists in planning, organizing, promoting and implementing college relations activities between employers, academic departments, other colleges on campus and administration.
Works with Auburn University's job platform, Handshake, and provides guidance to and troubleshooting with companies regarding posting positions, and setting up interviews and events through the platform.
Sends targeted emails to students through Handshake regarding job postings and events; sends emails to advisors with Handshake links to postings and events; promotes student participation in using the job platform.
Assesses employer recruiting needs, quality of recruiting services provided and other employer-related data management in order to improve the recruiting program and contribute to the strategic plan of the CDCR.
Assists in developing and implementing tracking mechanisms to determine level of employer engagement and helps to create overall engagement strategy based on metrics.
Assists with the development of marketing materials and presentations promoting career-related activities for and within the CDCR, College of Engineering, and Auburn University.
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or related field.
Experience in event planning, public relations, hospitality, administering college relations, recruiting programs, career coaching, or working in employer relations.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
